Wood Group Pratt & Whitney provides a comprehensive world-wide service for industrial Pratt & Whitney Gas Turbines. Formed in 1998 by combining the resources of Wood Group's Turbine Engine Services and Pratt & Whitney's Turbo Power and Marine, now Pratt & Whitney Power Systems, Wood Group Pratt & Whitney is able to provide Pratt equipment operators with the knowledge, turn time, entrepreneurial spirit, and affordability required for operators to achieve maximum reliability and lowest cost of ownership. In-house capabilities at the dedicated Engine and Free Turbine facilities include overhaul and repair, inspections, modular maintenance, and component and control repairs. Wood Group Pratt & Whitney also maintains the largest inventory of Pratt & Whitney gas turbine lease assets and rotable equipment, enabling operators to minimize downtime or even upgrade their equipment through established exchange programs. Our maintenance philosophy, methods, and work programs are modeled after the Original Equipment Manufacturer's recommended guidelines. Wood Group Pratt & Whitney's quality systems assure our customers that they will be receiving work done to the highest standards. Wood Group Pratt & Whitney is certified to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 standards and meets the U.S. Military requirements of MIL-I-45208(A). |

Wood Group Pratt & Whitney staffs a fully equipped overhaul shop to support the Pratt & Whitney industrial GG3, GG4, and GG8 engines. Expanded and upgraded in late 1998, the facility has the resources to disassemble, repair, inspect, balance, and reassemble engines, free turbines, and their associated components. Capabilities and resources include: · Rotor and/or assembly balancing utilizing the latest computerized balance equipment · Non-destructive testing (FPI & MPI) · Dedicated Quality Assurance Department |
